*Silence Blossoms*

Silence Blossoms have focused their time playing together on incorporating
contemporary poetry into an improvised music setting. Keeping the
sensibilities that make improvisation such an exciting format for
expression while introducing structures or familiar musical shapes through
the use of voice, melody and texture. They craft the poetry they use into
haunting melodies and tie it together with their hypnotic and thoughtful
improvisations. Delving into dark sound-worlds, the most simple beauty is
revealed in abstract landscapes filled with conflict and reconciliation,
sadness and hope. Their first release, recorded live on their recent
Scandinavian tour, is planned for release on Efpi Records in early 2012 and
will coincide with their next extensive touring schedule.
